  1. The correct operating pressure is important:

    The compressor should achieve slightly more pressure than the operating pressure required by the pneumatic tool to compensate for the pressure loss in the tool. A difference of 2 bar is usually sufficient for this. Many compressed air tools work with a pressure of 6 to 8 bar.

    Piston compressors:

    • Consisting of one or more cylinders driven by an engine
    • Direct drive machines are compact, lightweight and easy to transport - ideal for construction sites or in the home
    • Indirectly driven compressors have a high cooling capacity - ideal for long periods of use
    • Single-stage units deliver approx. 8 – 10 bar
    • Multi-stage units deliver approx. 30 bar
    • Recommended operating time per day: approx. 4 hours
    • The duty cycle of an air-cooled piston compressor should not exceed 60%
    • After 2 minutes of compaction time, take a 1,5 minute break
