The processing of iron has a long tradition in the Tyrolean Stubaital and goes back to the Middle Ages. The basic material of the STUBAI HSS turning tools is high-alloy tungsten-molybdenum steel, manufactured by experienced master blacksmiths. HSS (high-speed steel) has decisive advantages over conventionally hardened tool steel. When grinding, it is almost impossible to burn the finely polished blades and the edge retention is excellent even on hard woods and at high rotation speeds.

The STUBAI alder handle (handle made of alder wood with end cap) is ergonomically shaped and oiled for optimal grip comfort.
