Description BASIC-LINE Polishing SET
This polishing set is particularly practical because the individual polishing discs can be mounted on the included mounting shaft.
This makes it very easy to complete all three polishing stages one after the other without having to change any equipment.
The spindle is supplied with an MK2/B16 taper (for use in the lathe spindle).
It must always be supported/clamped using a center punch and the machine's raking stock while working.
If required, an optional MK3/B16 drill chuck can be used (if the lathe spindle has an MK3 taper mount).
Suitable for machines with a minimum center distance of 380 mm.
Procedure:
- Grind the workpiece (to a fine finish)
- Prime the surface of the workpiece
- BASIC-LINE Clamp the polishing set with the spindle in the lathe - insert the MK2 taper on the left into the headstock and support the spindle on the right with a live center.
- Apply grinding paste No. 1 to cotton wheel No. 1 and work the workpiece.
- Repeat the process with grinding/polishing paste No. 2 and cotton wheel No. 2.
- Using the soft cotton disc No. 3 together with the polishing wax stick, a surface can be polished to a high gloss.
If desired, the cotton discs can also be mounted individually on the shaft.
